Something to cure Monday blue :)

Silly conversation between me and Jeff.
If you have been following me on Instagram, you will know gymnastic frog which I treat it like my son. So, technically, Jeff is his dad. -.-

And this is evidence of robber kitty trying to rob the rich tai tai gymnastic frog

p/s: I'm very grateful to have Jeff as my bf as he can tolerate my yinsanity/wild imagination. -.- After reading about the death of Paul Walker, I appreciate him more. Okay. Now can I have more caramel pudding? And more Japanese bento?

Why am I inactive for about a month

I thought when I started working, I would have more time to blog, especially when I'm waiting for my turn to meet doctor. -.- but no, I have to do my research on penetrating new products- looking at the medicine rack to search for competitor's products or chat with the nurses to get more tips in getting the sales. I'm more hardworking when I have to chase my sales. -.- eg: this month. Due to the one week holiday in Japan, now I have to work double to match the target. A bit tough, but I would not give up until the last day.

Anyway, update would be even slow as my laptop decided to break down. Sigh. Getting a new one because repair fee is high.

Life is short

Watched 被偷走的那五年, The Stolen Years and cried.
The story was about a couple was divorced as the wife was too dominant. They got back together because the wife had amnesia due to an accident. When they finally got back, the wife was diagnosed to have dementia and she went for brain surgery without her husband's knowledge. Unfortunately, the surgery failed and she was paralysed. The husband took care of her and she felt that she was a burden. In the end, she died as she requested her husband to pull off the oxygen tube.
The story is a bit korean drama but if all these happen on you, what would you do?
What would you do if you're the wife?
What would you do if you're the husband?

From the movie, I realised that life is unpredictable. You never know what will happen in the next second.
You never know that you might die in the next second or next day.
Hence, what you feel like doing, if you're capable of doing so, just do it.
Be with the person you love as much as you can. You never know that the next second, you might lose them.
Don't wait for the right time. There is no right time. When you feel that the time is right, the thing/person might not be there anymore. Don't say that you will do it when you're free. Optimise your time.
You want that awesome body? Work it out diligently
You want to travel? Plan it now.
You want to learn something? Start doing your research
Do as much thing as you want so that when you're lying in the coffin, you can leave the world with a smile and no regrets.

For me, once I own my workstation and travel to Japan like it's my second home -.-, I can die without regrets. choi choi choi. I still have a lot of things that I want to do. God, please don't take me away too early. -.-

Lastly, satisfy your cravings as soon as possible. ;p
So, I feel like eating caramel pudding ._.

Life of gymnastic frog.

I have a frog, gymnastic frog. (modified from 'I have a dream' by ABBA -.-)

He was named by Aisha when I bought him in Daiso, the curve. We were there to attend Shiseido skincare demonstration and we were the model. :D yeah, I'm not that old yet.

He was named as gymnastic frog as he has magnet hidden inside his palms and thus he can stick on metal bar. It looks like he is doing gymnastics.

Say hi to gymnastic frog!

I abandoned him for a while and recently he had became my special instagram guest. I have this small dream to take photo of him whenever I go travel! So far he had teman me to various mountain, my uni and Singapore.Soon, he will be following me to Japan. Envy him please. -.-

Gymnastic frog doing yoga in bukit gasing. -.-

Her acting-innocent face so that I would bring her up instead of letting her hanging there. -.-

I talk a lot and I love to talk nonsense. And not everyone can buy my nonsense, that's fine. I applied them on my gymnastic frog. :O or Jeff's domokun. -.-

Threaten him if he doesn't do rain dance diligently, I would leave him outside to let the haze to make him smoked frog ._.

Once in a while, I made props for him. He has his own bed, various hairband and an ikea inspired leaf canopy.

Gymnastic frog in his bed.

Gymnastic frog with her hair bands -.-

Gymnastic frog if his leaf which he complaint that it's too heavy for him. -.-

p/s: gymnastic frog can be female or male according to what he wears. He prefers to be male but once in a while I forced him to be female. -.- and he cannot deny because he can't object. hahahahaha. *enterimaginaryworld*

I'm-lack-of-inspiration post

Firstly, I failed at doing makeup post because I had noone to help me take photo while I was doing it. I tried video but lighting is not nice plus my voice is weird and annoying. will do video when I can overcome this fear of listening my voice on video. -.- Maybe I should get Jeff to take photo of me doing makeup next time since my make up pouches are with me all the time. -.- and another thing is I would rather spending time on how to hit sales target instead of how to take video/photo. When I hit target, I have extra incentives=more cosmetic=more review=more reader=more income maybe. -.-

Okay. done with giving excuse. The main problem is still I'm lazy la. Whenever I have free time, I sleep. Whenever I should sleep, I sleep. Whenever I shouldn't sleep, I feel like sleeping too. -.- Sometime I suspect that I'm anemic as I feel tired easily. -.- Some said it's because I don't involve in active sports anymore which is quite true. BUT HOR, I want to sleep more after looking at my glowing skin and bright eyes ._____. #girlsbeinggirls

So far working life is still fun, especially when you're working in the area where you're living - Klang. Lunch is cheaper, nearer to house, easier to find the places I want to go and no traffic jam except the roads where the overprotective parents are blocking it with Alphard/Wellfire (Yes, I have this thing with big cars and overprotective parents)

Anyway, blog is supposed to be your life journal right? ok. Ikea Fish and Chips is super nice and cheap. You went there to eat with Jeff and his brother on 14/9/2013. Yin Xian, if you're reading this in the future or you lose your memory due to some accidents (choi!) , please remember that you love Ikea fish & chips, Oasis square is a pretty place and you have a soft toy named gymnastic frog. -.-

Talking about gymnastic frog, I'm going to make a tutu dress for her. :D

Phrase of the day: Nothing starts easily, stay strong and work hard.

Silly Conversation:
There was this day Jeff turned off my car air cond after he drove us to dinner.
The next day, I found out that the air cond was not working without knowing that he turned it off.
Me: eh, vivian 发热气 (heaty. ). She gave out hot air leh. I have to feed her some syrup already.
Jeff: ........ I think it's because I turned off your aircond yesterday.
Me: Oh. no wonder la. now ok d. hehehehe
Jeff: *facepalm* Gong zar bo. (I always call him gong gin na when he does silly things and he call me gong zar bo when I do silly things)

p/s: This post is just for entertaining purpose. read it when you really have nothing beneficial to read. -.- Just to warm up for my blogging life so that I could update consistently.

*break time* Things I have been doing during my unemployment.

I'm not following the topic sequence again.
Remember, Yin Xian is always unpredictable. -.-  fine, I'm just lazy to do review or make up tutorial.

I should start with the time I finished my last paper.
Next day after my last paper, I worked as promoter for Nippon paint. The job was easy as there were not much customers in the shop and no sales target. When I didn't have to do demonstration for Momentum paint/no customer were around for colour consultation, I started to scribble. :D
I realised that I'm quite good with crapping. -.-
For eg: A confused customer was deciding which colour to be matched with. I used my Pendidikan Seni knowledge to crap, warm tone colour must match with another warm tone. If you want to be bold, you can always choose red and green or other complementary colours. :p
Utilised my make up knowledge to explain how they should paint their house too. -.-

After that, I promoted raspberry wine, Hisamitsu cooling pad and Koala's march biscuit. It was fun to promote and give out kids' snack. Kids approached me and said, 'Jie jie, can I have one please?', 'thank you jie jie', 'bye bye jie jie'.Awwwwwwww. I melted. -.-

Colour charts are so pretty. You may see it in my instagram.
Momentum paint effect. almost bought one set for my room because it was cheap and pretty. -.- I have this tendency to buy stuff that I was promoting. If you couldn't convince yourself to buy it, how could you sell to others right?
After that, I was busy preparing for JLPT N4. The result will be out in October.
After JLPT, I started to clean my room, prepare for Pathology defer paper & my unit trust examination, send out resumes, attend interviews, go for outings, shop for grocery, pay bills for mom, cook more food watch crayon shinchan to learn Japanese, go for Japanese class and make more stuff. My life was quite tai-tai/si-lai/housewife/hosimbu/whatever sounds like I'm a good wife. -.-
For your convenience and for me to recall easily, I categorised my life with outing, stuff that I made and food that I cooked.

I went to Mr&Ms Cafe, Oasis Square with Iona, Jamie and Cher. The food was so-so and I have no fancy towards egg benedicts already :( Western breakfast is not really my thing I guess.

To show my tai tai life. -.- also to show my 1st pair of shoe from Payless because it is less than RM30. haha.

Oasis Square is too pretty that I went for another two times, with Kelly production team and Jeff. (Talking about Jeff, you may ask me personally if you really want to know the story but I have the right to decide whether I want to tell you or not. :p told you that I'm unpredictable and I seldom explain myself. -.-)
Had my lunch with the production team in Bad Boys Cook. This is grilled fish and shrimp or something sounds like this. -.- The brownies are nice too.
The production team. (taken from Kelly, the superstar's twitter account.)
Before Kelly sells off her baby truck, we TP-ed her car because we love her too much. :D

Selca after my cousin's wedding. That's the only photo I have taken to remind me of the wedding. -.-
Went to Broga hill with Anson and Jeff because Anson wanted to get lalang for his honours experiment. taking photo of gymnastic frog while waiting for sunrise. The only thing I dislike in Broga hill: there were so many teenagers and they couldn't stop talking. -.-

Next, stuff I made.

Painted this for Jeff.
Cher's Birthday Present.

Cher's bithday card

Present for my cousin
During this unemployment period, I was thinking about my life.

What is my dream?

What I would do even if I'm not paid for it?

It's making all these little things and owning a workstation.
Hopefully that I would spend my weekend well on doing these stuff and start to plan on a proper way in earning money from doing this.

I'm not brave enough to start my own business now as I'm not confident enough with the quality of the jewellery I made. I normally use the materials with lower price as those are what I could afford. Need to do research on the materials used and ways of taking care jewellery.

After some time, hopefully that I can learn making clothes. :) Maybe I would go for part time MBA/fashion design diploma if I'm bored with my job. That's where my education fund will go to.

I try not to stop learning after my degree.
I want to learn to play violin, professional make up, dance latin, metal smithing, wiring, oil painting, play harp, cook authentic Japanese home-cooked food and maybe learn another language after I have mastered Japanese. I have 35 years to do so. haha. or I could even go oversea for short term study.

Last time I used to have financial goal on buying Birkin, shoplots etc. For now, I feel that they're all materials. You will be happy once you buy it, but after some times, you will be feeling empty and regret for spending such money. Just like retail therapy, I used to shop when I was sad, unhappy, got my salary and happy. I just shopped whenever I want la and now I'm regret after looking at the clothes which were worn for once or twice and I don't feel like wearing anymore :(
New perspective on clothes: Capsule wardrobe. (google it if you want to know more. )

I never regret on spending so much on my Japanese class.I have spent around 2k from beginner to intermediate. I'm currently studying Advance 1. I still feel excited and look forward to the next Japanese class.
Afterall, the knowledge will be with me all the time. Besides, I can claim my Japanese class fee from income tax too.

Another life goal is to maintain my youth. sleep early, healthy diet (FYI: Diet doesn't mean that you do not eat at all.), exercise more, train my gluteal muscle, maintain my calf shape, good posture etc. I want to age gracefully. *holdingateacup* *cling*

One more life goal is to contribute to the society. For now, I'm not sure what I can do for the society but I could start it in small step by paying income tax and voting the right party. -.-

Oh oh. one more life goal is to travel often, esp Japan. hahahahaha. Hopefully that my Japanese will be fluent enough to become translator in the future. Then I could follow my Japanese boss to Japan or other countries often. *dreaming*

Question pops! then why am I choosing medical reps in the end? 1st, the pay is decent enough. 2nd, the time is so flexible that I could learn what I want. 3rd, I'm quite good in explaining something complicated into something understandable by giving lively example, provided that I understand the products thoroughly. 4th, I don't like to stay at the same spot for too long. I could travel around with this job. 5th, my friends are working there too. hahaha. 6th, I could learn more about soft skills on how to seal the deal, learn more about people's behaviour. (Why does all these sounds like an interview session? -.- )

All these goals requires financial planning and time management. It's time to diversify my income and that's why I'm doing research on investment currently.

Next, food that I cook:

Ton Katsu Don (Fried pork chop on rice. ) I always cook donburi as it's convenient when you're cooking for two persons. Recipe will be posted when I'm free. -.-

Ton katsu bento (If you're following me in instagram, you will realise that once I cook pork chop, my next few meals will be pork chop. -.- This is because my mom always buy a few slices in one go. ) The orange yellow-ish sauce is Kewpie cheesy cheese sandwich spread. It goes well with fried food. Kewpie mayo always goes well with fried food. :O
Grilled Pork Chop. It's soft and juicy because of my minion, baking soda. hahaha.
I try to add more vege to my diet but it's a bit hard for small family. I'm still trying to incorporate more variety for pork chop. -.-

Singapore Trip

Time to update before I started working next week ._.
I was in Singapore with fei fei from 28th June to 1st July 2013
We took train there as it is the cheapest way in spite of its long traveling time. Fei fei couldn't sleep well in the train as there were this bunch of people party-ing like nobody business. They had picnic, touched up make up (I had no idea why as it's a night train.) and non-stop chit-chatting. As usual, I slept soundly. -.- I have this thing of sleeping soundly in vehicle and I slept even better in bumpy car ride. I think it imitates the effect of baby spring cradle.

Gymnastic frog with its OOTN and our ticket.  -.- just to show how adorable she is. (It's she because she had floral hat!)

Me without any makeup and contact lens because it was a night train. -.- took this because fei fei said I looked like I'm homeless. hahaha.
Checked in to our room at b88 hostel. As usual, spot the gymnastic frog!
A small room beside my bed for gymnastic frog. :D It's actually a safety box for you to charge your phone while you're away/place your passport/keep your rich tai tai jewellery. -.-

Shops in Haji Lane. Too bad we were there too early. :( They're opened around 1pm. Hipster enough. -.-

I got excited when I saw roast pork and it wasn't that nice and this is the only food photo I took because Singapore is not about food. It's about shopping and  I didn't take photo of my shopping haul too. -.-

After Haji Lane, we went to meet Jie Qi who just finished his work. We met at Orchard road and that's when I bought my expensive F21 pullover and H&M 3 for $20 clothes. -.-

On the 2nd day, we went to Sentosa Island.

Peahen spotted! They're not afraid of us.

Time for some jungle trekking. (also because it's free. haha. budget trip ma)
Me and fei fei were getting ready for luge ride. No photo later because we were busy driving. -.-

Gymnastic frog having fun on skyride. -.- not sure if she was having fun as her situation was dangerous. She might fall and be lost forever.  Then I will miss her, she will miss me and we cry every night. *drama* We bought the 3 luge and 3 skyride for $20.

Merlion is the symbol of Singapore. It's hard to get gymnastic frog to take photo with the real merlion statue as it's too big. So, we settled for this statue placed outside a club at Little India. This club is happening at night. The bouncer  (I think so? aiya, means whoever in charged of the club entrance) was dressed as zoo keeper.

After Sentosa Island, we went to Chinatown which is more or less the same as Petaling street.
We found this ring watch at one of the stalls. Jie Qi was acting that he wanted to know the time. I was irritated and showed him my ring.
On the last day, we went to Anchor Point for the outlet stores. After that, we have this last minute plan to visit National University of Singapore (NUS)

I puked rainbow when I saw this. :O It is bigger and taller than Monash climbing wall ._.

selca while resting. Thick eyeliner because I overdid it. -.-

Gymnastic frog was hoping that NUS offers courses for frog but too bad it doesn't. She was a bit disappointed. *drama*

Ended my NUS trip by lying on the grass to chill. Jie Qi was saying that I might be discussed in their confession page later. hahaha.
The day ended with shopping trip in Bugis. Went to Uniqlo and bought a super cheap maxi dress. :O
Speaking of Uniqlo, I got into their 2nd interview (last stage of recruitment) for Manager-In-Training but I gonna reject the 2nd interview ._. reason: family issue

However, I'm going to work as medical reps on the coming monday. (This explains the update -.-)

End of holiday!

Phrase of the day: Have faith in your decision.

Silly Conversation:
Me: eh, Uniqlo is having promotion on their UT. 'One piece' as well.
Jeff: oh, then you can buy it and cut shorter to become a T shirt if you want.
Me: errrrrr. I mean One Piece the anime that your brother like. -.-

Next topic: review of something or how I do my makeup for work.

Antipodean and Three Little Pigs

Sorry for the delay. was enjoying my day by nuah-ing at home, cleaning room bit by bit, playing piano, reading novel, watching movie and meditating about my life -.-.

As the title stated, I'm going to do a food review.
On 26/7/2013, I went out with Yvonne, Poh Yee and Wai Xin for our atas* experience in Bangsar
*Atas literally means up but it's commonly used by Singaporean to describe something luxurious/expensive/overpriced.

We have heard good review about Antipodean and Three Little Pigs. Even though there are bad reviews  but we should only prove the point when we really experience it. -.-

Enough of beating around the bushes, main point!

The only thing I don't really like about Antipodean is that their menu is on the wall. When we wanted to order, we had a hard time to communicate because we were busy finding the item on the wall. -.-
At last we settled for their big breakfast and french toast.

Pretty table deco!

French toast with bacon and maple syrup (RM18). Personally think that it's not worth it for such portion.

Big Breakfast (RM18). The mushroom is so nice. It's juicy and mushroomy. -.- Hash brown is so-so. Scramble egg is okay only
After our breakfast, we walked around Bangsar Village until lunch time for 2nd round. -.-
For lunch, we went to Three Little Pigs & Big Bad Wolf.

Coincidentally, we met Vincent, Brenda, Lisa and their friends in Three Little Pigs
Before the meal was served, must take photo! :D

The not-so-nice seafood basket. We ordered it because we saw a lot of people ordered it. -.- It wasn't nice for me as I find that sea 'taste' is too strong for my liking.

The Wolf's Favourite. Fried bacon was a bit too dry but overall is good.
p/s: I guess you guys can google for the address by yourself. Antipodean is nearby Bangsar Village while Three little pigs is inside Bangsar Village.-.- I'm such a lazy blogger.

Phrase of the day: You don't have to be someone big to change the world. You can contribute a small bit to make the world better. :)

Next topic: Singapore trip. waiting for photo from Jie Qi.
